STATEMENT
Our mission as THE RETIREMENT SOURCE ® is to help clients build and preserve their
quality of life for the longest conceivable time
horizon. |
Above all THE RETIREMENT SOURCE ® seeks to
educate potential clients to the continuing need for such planning before and
after retirement and to provide the methods and means to achieve confidence in
control through completion. Our role then becomes that of educator and
consultant as well as financial advisor to the family, working with the client
to actually attain the control they seek.
What is it that you really want?
When I left the world
of large stockbrokerage firms after more than 25 years, I asked that question
of dozens of people contemplating retirement. The answer I heard was surprisingly
almost universal across the entire spectrum of my clientele regardless of social
or career background or financial resources:
“I just want to be sure I will be able to sustain
my family’s living standard as long as I live and if I am unable to take care of
myself, somebody will do it for me the way I would want it done and when I am
gone, I want to make sure my loved ones are taken care of and that all my stuff
passes on the way I want it done in the smoothest, simplest and least costly
way.”
Many clients said
they felt that traditional financial planning methods left too many areas of
risk exposed, tax-planning opportunities unexplored and personal values
over-looked.
I founded
THE RETIREMENT SOURCE®
and developed the S-T-A-R-S System for Financial SuccessSM
over a decade ago in response to these client desires for advice
and service that went far beyond the traditional “money only” planning and
investment approach.
The
S-T-A-R-S System for Financial SuccessSM
represents a return to an earlier values system that shifts the focus away from
strictly financial issues to seeking the highest level of control over
quality of life for the family and achieving a feeling of being
successful.
Of course
investments and taxes are important, but they are best seen as pieces of a much
larger picture. The S-T-A-R-S System for Financial
SuccessSM stands on the premise that you are the one and
only person qualified to oversee your financial plan, but you cannot do it
alone. That is why I built my practice through the use of educational
workshops and printed materials to help prospective clients sort out exactly
what their needs are and what type of professional help they need.
